Afrisonus is a platform committed to teaching and preserving the rich traditions of Ugandan music. Through workshops, educational programs, and community engagement, Afrisonus creates opportunities for people of all ages to experience the rhythms, instruments, and dances that define Uganda’s cultural heritage.
Founded by Tonny Nsubuga, a Ugandan music educator, composer, and researcher, Afrisonus draws on years of experience in both Ugandan and U.S. classrooms. The work is grounded in a belief that traditional music is not only artistic—it is cultural knowledge that should be experienced, understood, and passed on
